The Congressional Award Foundation was established as a private-public partnership, which receives no federal funding. All contributions received fund the ongoing efforts to make the Congressional Award a national opportunity.

Each year, Members of Congress host an array of events, including monthly dinners and Special Receptions, in support of the Congressional Award. The Foundation also holds an Annual Golf Tournament each Spring and a Chiefs of Staff Poker Tournament in the Summer to raise money for the organization.
